Yes, on one side there are a majority of people visiting fun and relaxing tourist destinations, but some of them seek paranormal experiences.

With Halloween fast approaching, here’s a compilation of some of the top scariest tourist places you should visit. Have the guts, believe in God, prepare yourself for the night to scare others, meet the real ones and learn a trick or two to get into the character you will be.

  • Bran Castle, Romania: It was featured in Bram Stoker’s famous novel and hence, is also called the “Dracula’s Castle.” That itself should be the reason to visit this haunted place.

  • Burg Wolfsegg, Germany: This is an 800-year-old castle located in the municipality of Wolfsegg. It’s haunted by a “White Woman,” who scares away anyone that enters it. This white woman is rumored to be the ghost of Klara von Helfenstein, who was killed by her jealous husband.

  • Banff Springs Hotel: Located in Alberta, Canada, the Fairmont Banff Springs is popular for having ghostly visitors like “Sam the Bellman” and a “Ghost Bride.”

  • Chateau de Brissac, France: This is the place where Charlotte of France was murdered. A Legend says that she was the illegitimate daughter of King Charles VII, who was killed by her husband when he discovered her affair. People have seen a “Green lady” in this towering building, roaming the halls.
