As the summer is approaching, we can’t wait to welcome some sunshine into our lives! Summertime is the most looked forward to the part of the year. Put those thick jackets and layers of warmers up into the loft and get the bag of bright, light clothing out. It’s time to flaunt your figure or get out and work out better to get one.

While taking care of the small little things that make your summer look good, why ignore the skin we live in? Skin is not only the largest part of the human body, but it is also a reflection of our internal wellbeing. A well-rested, hydrated, nourished and healthy body has a skin that glows. Following simple daily skincare regimes and taking a little extra care can help you get a flawless shine and texture indeed.

  1. Time to change your skincare routine:

    A good skincare routine is important in all weather conditions. But it needs to be changed as per the season. The pH balance in our body is different in every season. After the harsh winters, the body changes its pH. In summers, the intake, excretion and the retention of water change due to the heat in the air. Now that the layers of skin moisturizing products are going to be off your skin, you can step up on your skincare regime and make it look summer-ready.

    Change your creamy body wash, face wash and moisturizers to light, fresh, hydrating water or gel-based ones. You also need to change the frequency of using the products since you are going to sweat more in summers. Exfoliating regularly to remove oil and sweat clogging your pores is a great idea. Exfoliation can happen twice a week using scrubs as per your skin types. Summer skin usually requires moisturizing scrub which is high on AHAs. Products with vitamin C and sunscreen are also essential to add to your regime.

    Revisiting your format for the skincare products that you need to change as per the weather is always a great idea if you are under treatment or need one. Summer is also a good time to do your lightening treatments and chemical peels customized to your needs since it would not dry out your skin as it does in winters.     Summer is a time when we love to step out and do all those outdoor activities.
