Waking up early by sunrise has been a resolution since forever? Ten alarms and snooze options failed? Your morning routine is always a struggle? Are you rushing to the office late every second day? Do you end up skipping your morning workouts often?
We decided to list down the top few encouraging reasons why one must wake up early. Read on and tell us if it makes you want to be a morning person!
- Fresh Pollution Free Air:
If you remember, it was rightly taught in the school of how plants breathe in oxygen and breathe out carbon dioxide at night and vice versa for the day time. Dawn and the first few hours of the morning are known to be high on Oxygen levels, thus making a person feel fresher throughout the day. Also, with minimum movement of vehicles over the night time, pollution levels in the air are quite settled for one to be able to fill his or her lungs with fresh, carbon-free, oxygenated air.
- Longer day:
As per research, successful people wake up early- really early! The morning hours are quiet and refreshing, giving a person the best time to self-help and focus on self-development exercises. Half of the Americans fall into the morning category and they say, they are at the most productive from 5 a.m. to noon.
- Blending with nature:
Think of the times when there was no electricity on the planet. While we strongly promote organic and natural, everything man-made including electricity can be harmful to a certain extent. Artificial light coming from different sources including mobile phones trick the body into not treating the night hours as the night which is created for restful sleep and relaxation of the body. Doing things against Mother Nature is no good. Those who rise with the sun and unwind by the sunset are in sync with nature and thus their body clock runs right. Rays of the sun are energizing of birds are refreshing. Except for one or two exceptions, almost all the flora and fauna sleep at night and wakes up early morning. Why would human beings be an exception to this case?
- Health benefits:
Like mentioned in the previous points, when the body clock is ticking right and is absolutely in sync with nature, hormones are balanced, and the body is well rested throughout. It is scientifically proven that the sleep that the human body receives between 11:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m. is the best in quality. Energy levels can be super high after a sound and undisturbed sleep in the night hours. Waking up early after a restful sleep and basking in the morning sun also gives you ample of vitamin D which in turn helps absorption of important vitamins and nutrients to keep the mind and body fresh, active and alert
- Morning Mood :
Yet another research conducted on a group of undergraduate students suggested that the sample group of early larks were a lot more proactive and optimistic than their counterparts who woke up late. Getting done with a major chunk of your to-do list in the first half of the morning is a major mood lifter than having things pending towards the end of the day. For many, morning hours are meditative because of the solitude it provides. Planning the day in the early hours and sticking to the plan is like a positivity pill for the mind and body.
Hope these are good enough reasons for you to hit the bed by 11:00 p.m. latest best. Get your beauty sleep right as a part of your holistic health management and enjoy the morning sunshine every single day!
